Chiara lends an international perspective and unique point of view to the design of interior spaces. As a trained architect, she brings an intimate knowledge of residential and hospitality design and construction. With over 20 years of experience driving artistic interior designs for high-end new constructions and renovations, she loves working alongside her clients, finding creative solutions that match the uniqueness of each project.
Prior to moving to the United States, Chiara oversaw teams designing high-end hotels, restaurants, residential houses, and condos. Her projects can be found all across the globe: Tokyo, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Milan, and Lake Como, just to name a few.
Born in the Italian Alps to a family of architects and builders just a few miles south of Switzerland, Chiara has a deep passion for Alpine architecture, design, and lifestyle. After graduating with a degree in architecture from Polytechnic of Milan and attaining her architectural license in Italy, Chiara worked with renowned architect and designer Piero Lissoni for over 5 years. Under Piero’s supervision, she developed a deep passion for interiors along with an unmatched attention to details, from initial design to construction.
Following her loving husband, Chiara left Northern Italy and moved to Chicago. There, she landed at Solomon Cordwell Buenz, one of the top architectural firms in the United States. As their Interior Design Director of hospitality and residential projects, Chiara supervised large teams working on numerous multi-family and hospitality projects across the country: Country Club Towers II and III in Denver, Hanover Montrose in Houston, Northshore in Austin, A’Alii Design Concept in Honolulu, 505 in Nashville, Hub50House in Boston, and Moment, 465 N Park, Marquee at B37, Elevate and 1001 South State in Chicago.
Chiara is also the founder of thehautestudio, a Chicago-based interior design firm that focuses on high-end residences and hospitality projects. thehautestudio’s projects span some of the most exclusive addresses of Chicago, from Magnificent Mile to Winnetka, and around the country to the Miami Design District.
The first time Chiara was in Aspen in 2008, she dreamt of having the opportunity to work and serve clients building their desired spaces in the Roaring Fork Valley. When Chiara and her husband met Pam Duke and Greg Wisener, they immediately jumped at the opportunity to join their amazing team. Working in a location that is reminiscent of their beloved Alps, Chiara brings her international flair and distinctive style to Mountain Resort Interiors and Construction.

A native Houstonian prior to moving to Aspen in 1997, Pam Duke has decorated in Houston, Galveston, Palm Springs, Acapulco, Belize, Turks & Caicos and Paris. Beginning in the 1970’s Pam furnished a 168 unit apartment complex, 82-room Howard Johnson Motel and Galveston Condominium Development. In addition Pam was instrumental in developing Houston’s Century project in Greenway Plaza and The Allen Center in downtown Houston. She then progressed to model homes and additional condominium interior design and standards including Houston’s prestigious “Hudson on Memorial”. Then, starting her own design business lead to private residences, restaurants, speculation projects, and ultimately decorating and renovating the private patient suites at Houston’s Hermann Hospital. While visiting In 1997, after visiting Aspen for the previous 30 years and even decorating two private homes in the 80’s, Pam decided she would pursue the dream of “retirement in Aspen”. Thus, Mountain Resort Interiors was founded. In Aspen, she has enjoyed the opportunity of working on numerous condominiums, private homes, including speculative developments, restaurants and small hotels. Pam has been responsible for the interior design, plan check, specifying selections, ordering, and installation of over 100 commercial, condominium and private residences. Pam personally likes coordinating with the clients and support staff on the projects through completion and assuring the project stays within budget.
Blessed with loyal and numerous repeat clients, Pam continues to travel and design their primary personal residences. Still going strong and enjoying the thrill of new projects, Pam has established a second office in her beloved Texas Hill Country. Pam is proud to be located in Kerrville and to be working in a place she has loved since she was a little girl visiting her grandparents and family.
